Recognizing the need
Through our research and conversations with patients, we discovered significant challenges in post-surgical drain management that needed addressing. Hospitals typically provide only basic solutions like safety pins and metal lanyards, which create numerous problems for patients:
- Evacuators become heavy with fluids, uncomfortably pulling on healing wounds
- Multiple drains (up to eight for some surgeries) easily become tangled
- Drains catch on furniture or doorknobs, causing pain and potential complications
- Traditional solutions are both uncomfortable and difficult for patients to manage independently
We’ve seen how these challenges can lead to accidents causing pain, irritation, and sometimes even infection or scarring. The patented C.U.D.D.L. Pouch was designed to solve these real problems, giving patients the security and comfort they deserve during recovery.

Thoughtful design process
The development of the C.U.D.D.L. Pouch involved careful consideration of patient needs and extensive collaboration with medical professionals. We asked ourselves: “How can we create something that truly improves the recovery experience?”
Our design addresses multiple concerns:
- A comfortable, one-size-fits-all elastic belt that wraps around the waist (with extenders available for those who need them)
- Smart pouch design that supports expanding evacuators while preventing them from falling out, even when lying down
- Capacity for up to eight drains while maintaining discretion under clothing
- Pleated pouches that accommodate evacuator expansion as they fill
Each feature was refined through patient and medical professional feedback and testing, ensuring the final product truly meets the needs of people during their healing journey.
Choosing the right materials
We wanted to create something different from other products on the market – something specifically designed with recovery and disposability in mind.
That’s why we selected 100% polypropylene for the C.U.D.D.L. Pouch. This remarkable material is:
- Completely hypoallergenic for sensitive post-surgical skin
- Resistant to stains from drainage fluids
- Waterproof, allowing for shower use
- Soft against the skin while strong enough to hold evacuators securely
As an added benefit, polypropylene is environmentally responsible – it requires minimal energy to produce and is recyclable under plastic code number 5.
A versatile solution

We’re proud that the patented C.U.D.D.L. Pouch supports recovery from many different surgical procedures requiring drains:
- General thoracic (heart, lung)
- Lymph node
- Breast (mastectomy, explant, reconstruction)
- Thyroid
- Abdominal
- Cosmetic surgeries (tummy tuck, face lift, breast augmentation)
Whether you’re dealing with one drain or eight, the C.U.D.D.L. Pouch keeps everything secure, comfortable, and discreet.
Quality and safety commitment
After years of development and refinement, we’re proud to have received U.S. Patent No. 11,478,376 for our design. This milestone represents our commitment to creating a truly innovative solution that makes a difference in people’s lives.
The C.U.D.D.L. Pouch comes with important safety information:
- Single use only, non-sterile
- Made with 100% polypropylene for body contact
- Should not be used near high-intensity heat sources or flammable gas
Warning: To avoid danger of suffocation, keep bag away from babies and children. Do not use this bag in cribs, beds, or play pens.
More than just a product

The development of the patented C.U.D.D.L. Pouch has been a journey of listening, learning, and problem-solving.
We’ve worked closely with patients and healthcare professionals throughout the process, hearing their stories and understanding their challenges firsthand. Each design decision was driven by a simple goal: helping people recover with comfort and dignity.
The result is more than just a product – it’s a patented solution that makes a meaningful difference during a vulnerable time in someone’s life. When patients tell us the C.U.D.D.L. Pouch helped them focus on healing instead of worrying about their drains, we know our work has been worthwhile.
Dignity starts here with support after surgery.
